Lockdown is agents’ chance to plan for 2021 say training firms

Two industry training firms say the lockdown beginning this week gives agents an opportunity to prepare for 2021.

Agency Mentors and The Able Agent - working together on a training package - say the most important considerations for the industry for next year have to be business generation and retention, and fee levels.

To help achieve this they say lockdown would be the opportunity to plan one-to-one sessions with staff to find out what really motivates them.

“Not everyone is motivated just by salary….. job title, career progression, training, letters after the name … are all key motivators. How good are your teams at the moment? Have you any concerns both as a business or with individual team members?  What problems are you looking to solve for 2021?” a statement from the companies suggests.

It continues: “This is a great opportunity for those agents with a clear plan, well trained, engaged and motivated staff, to push forward with exciting business objectives, and I also firmly believe to push upwards with their fees.”

Agency Mentors and The Able Agent say they are collaborating “to provide agents with the most cost effective and varied training solution available.”

The training will allow agents to become ‘RoPA-ready’ by studying a level 3 Ofqual regulated qualification in estate agency and lettings - as recommended for the Regulation of Property Agents’ requirements - in courses delivered as a mixture of online video and ebooks, and Zoom group training meetings.
