The shape of buy to let - Ed Sheeran’s £57m property empire

One of Ed Sheeran’s first massive hits was Lego House. And now, not many years later, it’s been revealed that he’s big in bricks - to the shape of £57m.

The Sun newspaper says he is now owner of 22 homes in London alone, many of which he lets out through his own property management business called Maverick Properties.

In total, and including his lavish Suffolk estate, the 28 year old singer songwriter owns 27 apartments, houses and mansions bought for a total of £57m.

Maverick is run by Sheeran and his manager Stuart Camp and the newspaper says their portfolio includes two properties recently purchased in Covent Garden and two flats in Battersea; they also own two homes adjoining Sheeran’s private house in London, said to be worth £19.8m.

A separate report in The Sun last year claimed he also owned properties in Shoreditch, Hammersmith, Holland Park, Chiswick and Notting Hill as well as a restaurant, Galicia.
