The next formal review of lockdown processes in Wales takes place today, with high expectation that the housing market is likely to be ‘cautiously’ reopened.
England’s market has been open for over four weeks.
Rightmove says 16,485 homes are for sale in Wales - with more than half sold subject to contract - with several thousands of other properties available to let when the market resumes.
However, the Welsh Government says valuations or other physical lettings and sales processes can only happen in the case of "essential moves”.
Wales has been tougher in its enforcement of the housing lockdown than other parts of the UK. The Cardiff-based government has told Propertymark that agents should contact their local trading standards or environmental health department who will then investigate any potential breaches.
