Family running an agency again after sale to Countrywide

A family-run property management and lettings business has opened its new office - five years after the same family’s previous business was snapped up by Countrywide.

Littlefairs Property Company, was founded by Scott Littlefair, along with his father Richard Littlefair and sister, Donna Sanderson in January 2019 and started life being run from home offices.

The new office is in York.

The trio previously owned and ran Letters of Distinction for 10 years before selling the business to Countrywide almost five years ago.

Managing director Scott Littlefair says: “We currently manage more than £50 million worth of rental property across North, West and East Yorkshire … Our success is a result of our personal service and our fair fee schedule for landlords and we have recently employed another full-time team member.”

Littlefairs charges 4.0 to 10 per cent commission on monthly rent, depending on the service package landlords choose, ranging from a tenant find service through to a fully managed service with legal and rent protection.

With over 45 years’ combined experience, the family typically let properties for between £450 and £2,500 per month.

Congratulations; nothing beats a personal and engaged service. My previous Partnership sold to Countrywide nearly 8 years ago and my new firm (formed 6 years ago), has reaqainted with many former clients as they have drifted back over the recent years.
