London council revives licensing idea with online consultation

Greenwich council in London has resuscitated a proposal to extend its existing selective licensing regime, put on ice during the Coronavirus crisis.

The consultation, abandoned in the spring, has now returned and is open until midnight on September 10; letting agents and landlords are being asked to respond, in addition to tenants and the wider public.

The council already operates an additional licensing scheme across the whole borough, extended to licence all HMOs, too.
