Purplebricks split - lettings relaunch after separation from hybrid

A lettings agency has relaunched its property management service after it was acquired by Purplebricks in 2017.

The agreement back then meant that The Venmore Group was unable to enter into the property management sector independently for a period of two years, while the hybrid traded in the Merseyside region under the Venmore name.

However, the group which owns Venmores - Bradshaw Farnham & Lea and Ball & Percival - has now split from Purplebricks  and relaunched its lettings division.

The team now consists of former employees of the agency prior to the acquisition.

Manager Darren Kay says: “It’s great to be back. Relaunching the lettings business is an absolute pleasure and to be working again with some fantastic former colleagues is the icing on the cake. It has been a brilliant start and we have combined our experience with utilising the latest technology to ensure a fantastic service to our clients, new and old.”

The Venmore Group is the North West’s largest group of independent estate agents with three brands across Wirral, Liverpool and Southport - Venmores, Bradshaw Farnham & Lea and Ball & Percival.

Relaunched with even more ambiguous pricing.

I personally know a few ex clients of theirs who felt betrayed. They were sold off, received amazingly bad service then the person who sold them wants them back!!!!!!! Why would a LL be loyal when they weren’t.

Shame, as Venmores had the best name in Liverpool back in the day.

    Dear James

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry if some of our old clients feel that way and we would welcome a conversation with them to run through what happened with the sale. The intentions were genuine and our whole lettings team went with the business when it was sold to carry on providing the high service levels we had done throughout the previous years. Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control were unable to do this so a number of us moved on.

The reason we relaunched was due to demand from many of our previous clients. We built up a strong relationship with our landlords over the years and many are looking forward to working with us again, which is great.

We have kept our fees at virtually the same levels as we had previously but have enhanced our service at the same time, utilising some great technology to produce same day rental payments and in depth inspection reports.

As mentioned I would be delighted to speak to any of our previous clients as I can fully understand their frustration.

    Darren
