HousingAnywhere, a rental platform specialising in accommodation for young professionals and students, has raised some €24m for further expansion.
The service covers some UK cities as well as international locations, and claims to now be Europe’s largest rental marketplace.
The new investment will be used to cover 17 more European cities, as well as underpinning the platform’s fourth acquisition of the year – Kamernet, a Dutch online rentals agency.
“While having devastating effects on international mobility, the pandemic offered us the opportunity to further develop our product. It enabled us to … explore local rental markets while accelerating the inevitable consolidation of the market” says chief executive Djordy Seelmann.
HousingAnywhere now claims that its service has become a complete property management platform for both tenants and landlords.
The acquisition of Kamernet marks HousingAnywhere’s fourth acquisition in 12 months following others in Germany, Italy and Iceland.
The company says it is “looking to acquire more rental websites, to expand in audience and number of properties that fit the needs of our ever-growing user base.”
