Agents Together, the agency charity set up by Purplebricks and Boomin founders Michael and Kenny Bruce, says it’s hit an important target of 250 mentorships.
It says this equates to 3,300 hours of mentoring in the nine months since the scheme was set up.
Chief executive Sarah Edmundson says: “This support for the industry would not be possible if it wasn’t for the incredible work undertaken by the volunteer mentors…I am humbled by, and grateful to, each and every one of those 142 individuals.”
The charity’s relationships officer, Sam Offley, adds: “Making 250 mentorship matches is a hugely rewarding milestone to achieve. It fills me with so much respect for our industry. Being able to help and match like minded people across the country is a wonderful programme to be part of”
The Mentorship Programme invites applications from anyone in the industry who feels they would benefit from someone to talk to; someone to bounce ideas off, take inspiration from and be comforted by experience.
A statement from Agents Together says: “Setting out with a focus on how to achieve a healthy mind and healthy business – the foundation has focussed on a proactive approach to this, launching not only the Mentorship Scheme, but a Winning Ways Video Series (can be found on social and YouTube) and a useful resource hub on the website.
“They have also undertaken research into Mental Health in the Workplace, and have assembled a working group of experts and agency representatives from all backgrounds to help develop and build the toolkits that Agents Together will produce for everyone in the industry who would like to understand, raise awareness and educate on Mental Health.”
