A Manchester-based lettings agency has won a long-term deal with one of the UK’s most prominent Build To Rent operators.

Ascend Properties has been appointed by Sigma Capital Group to assist with the lettings and asset management of a portfolio of new-build family rental homes marketed under Sigma’s Simple Life brand.

The agency currently oversees some 10,000 residential units across the country, and it says the new deal makes it the largest lettings management agency specialising in single-family homes in the BTR sector.

Ascend currently manage over 6,000 single-family homes in the BTR niche.

To date Sigma has delivered over 5,000 new family rental homes across the UK and has over 2,000 currently under development across the English regions.

Ged McPartlin, Ascend’s managing director, says: “We’re very pleased to be partnering with Sigma, which has established an unrivalled platform to facilitate the large-scale delivery of high-quality new rental homes for families across the UK.  We look forward to delivering an excellent service both to Simple Life tenants and Sigma alike.”
