A branch in The Property Franchise Group has snapped up a local independent – and almost 200 additional properties under management.

The Nottingham Sherwood branch of Whitegates, owned by directors Julian Divine and Chris Davis, has acquired Nottingham independent McLean Property Services.

This is their sixth acquisition in total.

Divine and Davis also own Whitegates branches in nearby Beeston and Heanor and the acquisition takes their managed portfolio across three offices to almost 1,000 properties.

One member of staff from McLean will also transfer to the Whitegates Nottingham Sherwood office, while an additional full-time member of staff has been recruited to assist with the increased portfolio.

Divine says: “McLean is a family business which had built up a healthy portfolio of properties and their big selling point was their personal service and direct interaction with their landlords.

“We’re a much larger operation at Whitegates and we’re looking forward showing our new landlords the benefits of a larger corporate structure, while also retaining that very personal and hands-on approach through our local property management team.”

Whitegates has been operating across the Midlands and the North of England since 1978.
