Coming Out Of Covid tough for letting agents, says top supplier

Coming out of Covid and realising that relaxed procedures will be tightened up once again, will present challenges to letting agents and the industry.

That’s the view of Nick Lyons, founder and chief executive of No Letting Go, the UK’s largest inventory provider.

In an exclusive video interview with Letting Agent Today, Lyons warns of two challenges – the first is the well-documented end of the eviction ban, and the second is the end of looser rules regarding issues like Right To Rent.

Lyons tells Chris Buckler – interviewer in the video, and himself an agent in London – that: “One of the areas that many of us forget is that the government relaxed a whole load of legislation – Right to Rent is one example – and pretty much as on [now] …those legislations are going to kick back in.” He says it’s a challenge for agents not to get caught out.
