New figure revealed for rent increases as every region shows a rise

The government has pledged a White Paper to be issued in the autumn, dedicated to reform of the private rental sector.

Some things we know – it’s likely to propose the scrapping of Section 21 eviction powers, changes to beef up Section 8 possession processes, and the likely introduction of some kind of rental deposit passport which can be used as a tenant moves to different properties.

But what will those mean for the sector – and what about other possible ingredients in the White Paper?

These will be discussed at the next Fixflo webinar, which will have as a guest the industry-leading property lawyer David Smith.

The webinar is on July 13 at 11am, and in addition to the White Paper it will discuss upcoming changes to eviction proceedings and amendments to the rules around Right to Rent checks.

Registrants will have access to a new guide published by Fixflo and JMW Solicitors – so you can register here.
