Agency uses podcast to explore growing retail-to-resi trend

Todays other news

A lettings agency is using its latest podcast to explore the retail-to-resi trend in the housing market.

Winkworth’s podcast under The Property Exchange banner comes just after John Lewis revealed plans to build 10,000 homes over the next 10 years.

Led by veteran property journalist Anne Ashworth, the podcast features Winkworth chief executive Dominic Agace discussing the increasingly local focus for owners and renters following the pandemic.

Adam Stackhouse, Winkworth’s head of developments and commercial investments, discusses the opportunities for homes in former retail and commercial spaces, and tells listeners why local authorities and government should make it easier at the planning stage for new homes to be developed along the routes leading to high streets and local centres.

Agace says: “The Property Exchange offers the chance to hear Winkworth’s experts to give their views and insights on the latest hot topic and our latest discussion on the future of the high street provides some interesting food for thought.”

The Property Exchange is available on major podcast sources. Click here to listen.
