Regional agency says unique business model is behind success

A regional lettings agency says its better-than-expected 2020 performance is down at least partly to having what it calls a unique business model.

The Manchester Apartments agency last year enjoyed an average 62 per cent tenancy renewal rate for young professional and student lets, secured around 95 per cent occupancy over the year, and handled some 3,000 enquiries per month.

It says this was assisted by being hand-in-glove with parent group Beech Holdings.

The company’s new head of lettings - Dannielle Britt - says: “It’s ... a unique business; parent group Beech Holdings offers everything from development, to sales, to aftersales, to lettings and property management – the whole process is done by a team who sit under one roof, something that’s unusual for our sector. This provides clear benefits from our point of view as we can feedback trends, suggestions and requests from our tenants to the design teams.”

The firm says that this year it aims to improve on its combined 2020 lettings income of some £7m.
