Revenue potential for agents by gathering data on consumers

A PropTech chief says there’s substantial opportunity for letting agents to earn more revenue - so long as they understand their landlord and tenant desires and aspirations.

Jonathan Stein, chief executive of Vaboo - a so-called ‘perks and engagement platform’ offering discounts and deals for tenants - says agents are well placed to benefit from this understanding, because their working relationships with landlords in particular may well last some years.

His platform offers agents a fee for each sign up, and he says the same sort of additional revenue is available from other suppliers to the industry.

One interesting aspect is that he suggests agents' involvement with customers should not stop at the move-in process, but continue afterwards - that differentiates your agency and facilitates other revenue raising opportunities.
