TikTok-style 25-second virtual tours win support, claims supplier

A marketing firm says super-speedy virtual tours – similar in duration to many videos on the TikTok social network – are becoming increasingly popular.

That’s the claim from marketing firm Pink Plan which has launched its one-take videos for agents.

These so-called ‘Speed Tours’ are created using an innovative method of video editing, commonly known as ‘speed ramping’. The videos showcase the whole property but are sped up to fit into short and snappy videos.

This type of virtual property tour has become popular, the agency claims, because of the likes of TikTok and Instagram.

Recently Purplebricks launched 25-second video tours, claiming this was enough for buyers to decide whether a property was right for them to consider an in-person viewing.

Jordan Saward, founder of Pink Plan, says his videos can be turned around in less than 12 hours, from shooting the video, going through the editing process, before being sent over to the client to upload and distribute.

He says: “Virtual property tours have evolved remarkably over the last 18 months as estate agents look to diversify the way they market their properties. Our newly launched offering can create under one minute videos that showcase homes and apartments in a way that hasn’t been done before.

“We’re excited to bring our product to market at a time when virtual property tours are in high demand by agents across the whole of the UK.”
