A statement says: “The business recognises its corporate responsibility, and that employees, in particular those of younger generations are attracted to employers who commit to helping reduce carbon footprint and take their responsibilities seriously.”

Rival London agency Chestertons recently went green with its fleet, too.

Simon Merson, associate director at John D Wood & Co says: “We have considered for some time a move to a fully electric fleet, but with the launch of [emission charges], cost of parking increasing, and more of our agents already commuting to work via greener alternatives, we are pleased to get the wheels in motion making this commitment to play our part in going green.”

We ALL gave up our cars 6 years ago in favour of Bromptons and bus passes. Never looked back. We even have Guest bicycles for clients to use. Also went completely paperless 2 years before that. Going “green” is about more than just giving up petrol/diesel cars.
