One man band agency grows into large team winning key instruction

A private agency and management firm that says it’s grown from a one man band into a large team of 35 staff has won a key instruction to manage a new residential development of 45 apartments in central Bristol.

Principle Estate Management’s deal to manage the units in St Paul’s, has come from Abri, one of the south of England’s largest housing providers.

Joe Jobson, a director at Principle, says the agency already advises Abri on the ongoing management of the development from the drawing board stage. This includes putting together budgets, reviewing all operating and maintenance manuals, issuing service contracts and carrying out a full onsite inspection and snagging review after completion.

Jobson adds: “It’s been great working with Abri through the build and it is great that we now see occupants moving in. By working with the development team throughout the design process we were able to add value by highlighting possible long-term management issues and offering solutions at the outset.”

Principle already manages a number of other schemes in Bristol and James Pennington, director of development at Abri, says: “To make sure that our customers have the best experience and support in their new homes, it’s important that we have a managing agent with the right experience to look after such a development.

“We’re confident that Principle will provide our customers with a great service and help them to thrive in their new homes.”
