Fast-growing LRG snaps up yet another independent agency

Leaders Romans Group has completed the purchase of Dewhurst Lettings in Swindon - the latest in its acquisition programme announced earlier this year.

Dewhurst is a well-known local letting agent with the second highest market share in the area, based on Rightmove instructions. 

Its founder Mike Dewhurst will now concentrate on land and new homes, while his brother Chris Dewhurst is to continue running its existing North Swindon sales office.

The lettings side of the business is set to transition to become a new Romans branch over the next few weeks, with its location in Swindon sitting between existing branches in Reading and Bath.

The move will see LRG welcome the existing employees of Dewhurst Lettings, further growing the group’s headcount following four more acquisitions earlier in the year.

So far in 2021 LRG has snapped up the 13-branch Gibbs Gillespie agency, Guardian Residential Lettings in Harlow, Eurolet in Bishop’s Stortford, and the five-branch Hill & Clarke in the East Midlands.
