ARLA Propertymark President Maxine Fothergill has lifted the lid on what is required of a letting agent holding that position in the industry’s largest trade body.

In an interview with Letting Agent Today, she explains how she got the role and what’s involved – this involves meeting agents around the country, chairing the ARLA board and feeding into the main Propertymark board meetings. 

“It’s not just a case of going to hotels and chatting to people” she explains.

Fothergill – managing director and founder of Amax Estates in Kent, which she has run for over 19 years – also talks about Propertymark Qualifications and her push for letting agent apprenticeships.

She’s talking with Angels Media chief executive Nat Daniels in this video interview exclusively for LAT readers. You can see the interview below.
