Franchise giant Belvoir has named a former chief executive of a major housebuilder as a non-executive director, to help with the agency group’s growth strategy.
Jon Di-Stefano’s non-executive directorship of Belvoir begins on April 1, when he will join the firm’s audit committee and chair its remuneration committee.
Di-Stefano has over 19 years’ experience in property having joined Telford Homes in 2002 where he served as finance director until 2011 and then as chief executive.
Belvoir says that during his tenure at Telford Homes, he oversaw a prolonged period of business growth resulting in significant increases in reported profits and shareholder value. This culminated in Telford Homes’ acquisition by CBRE Group Inc. in 2019 for £267.4m.
He also served as a NED at land and commercial property firm Urban&Civic from 2017 until last year, serving on its audit, remuneration, nomination and governance committees.
Belvoir chief executive Dorian Gonsalves says: “Jon brings a wealth of knowledge of the property sector including areas very complementary to Belvoir’s existing business.
“We anticipate that Jon’s experience as a PLC CFO and CEO, overseeing substantial growth at Telford Homes will enable him to make a valuable contribution to the board’s successful growth strategy for the Belvoir Group.”
