PropTech supplier The Lettings Hub has launched a tenant referencing service that it claims allows letting agents to conduct their own digitised verification checks.

The Lettings Hub say it is the only provider in the market to offer all core referencing solutions under one roof including software for agents doing their own reference checks, a tenant passport referencing service, as well as a traditional referencing service.

The Lettings Hub in-house product incorporates Open Banking which it states effectively eliminates the risk of fraudulent bank statements as applicants can securely share their financial data directly from their online bank account to the Hub’s own BOX platform.

For more complex cases, BOX also allows letting agents to “flip” references into The Lettings Hub referencing team on a case-by-case basis.

The Lettings Hub cites Amaniel Ghile, Director of Prime Choice Properties – which already use s the product – says: “Doing our own referencing using the BOX platform works well for our business; it’s flexible, we are in control, and the tech is seamless.”

BOX is already being used by over 1,000 agent branches across the country.
