Expanding agency group seeking new lettings acquisitions

Todays other news

The Acorn Group has opened its 40th branch – and it says it’s on the look-out for new acquisitions, including those operating in the lettings and property management sectors.

Acorn’s latest office is in Sevenoaks under its Langford Russell brand.

A statement from the firm claims that it has made ”accelerated growth” thanks to acquisition and “intuitive expansion.”

Group chief executive Neil Louth says: “We have invested a tremendous amount of time, effort and money into perfecting the opening of our new branches. Community is at the heart of everything we do, so it’s vital that our teams are carefully selected to understand and immerse themselves in the area in which they work … Our team work collaboratively to support the individual needs of each client at every step of their property journey.”

Langford Russell Sevenoaks will be the group’s flagship branch in Kent but the company says it is seeking expansion elsewhere.

This is via a newly formed acquisition team, headed by main board directors Paul Deveney and Hector Stavrinidis.

The company statement says: “Acorn are not just focused on buying businesses whose strengths lie in lettings and property management alone. They are also specifically targeting established businesses whose prime income streams are generated via residential sales and other specialist property services. Are you thinking about selling your business?”
