John D Wood & Co has celebrated a major anniversary by opening its new headquarters in Belgravia.

It’s 150 years ago since the agency was established by John Daniel Wood, who opened its first office at Mount Street, Mayfair.

Now the agency has acquired a new head office in Belgrave Square.

In the past three years – some of which overlapped with the Connells ownership – the agency has opened four new offices.

More recently the company claimed a 55 per cent year-on-year boost in sales and 10 per cent uplift in new rental tenancies.

Managing director Polly Ogden Duffy says: “Our location is in the heart of our office network, conveniently positioned alongside a number of foreign embassies, of which we work with on a daily basis relocating diplomats to the UK through our corporate and relocation services team.

“John D Wood & Co. has grown significantly in the last three years, and the move to Belgrave Square is a further commitment to our network and growth plans for the future.”
