Franchised YourMove branch lettings book sold to franchise rivals

Todays other news

The lettings book containing over 130 properties managed by a franchised YourMove branch in Birmingham has been sold to the owners of Martin & Co’s two branches in the city.

The Martin & Co branches are part of The Property Franchise Group and the acquisition by franchisees Deepa Sohal, Raj Bedi, and Monaj Sohal is their third in 10 years.

Sohal says: “The purchase of Your Move’s portfolio is another huge growth milestone for us, and we couldn’t be happier to get the deal over the line. Your Move’s landlords will now benefit from both our excellent reputation for customer service and the systems that come from us being part of a nationwide network of letting agents.

“Acquisitions have enabled us to grow our businesses at a pace that works for us and the support we’ve had from The Property Franchise Group has been key. We’re always on the lookout for further opportunities, too, and certainly don’t intend to stand still when it comes to growing our businesses.”

Martin & Co managing director Ellie Hall adds: “I’m delighted to congratulate Deepa, Raj, and Monaj on completing yet another acquisition … They are very experienced when it comes to integrating and running expanding businesses and are always looking for new opportunities.

“Within The Property Franchise Group network the appetite to acquire remains high and our franchisees continue to look for new opportunities for business growth.”
