Agent Alert – Free online teach-in about Right To Rent changes

Todays other news

One of the industry’s most respected legal experts is staging a teach-in for letting agents ahead of new Right To Rent rules coming into effect on October 1.

David Smith – the head of property litigation at JMW Solicitors – is participating in a webinar staged by The Lettings Hub and HooYu, a digital identity check provider.

The webinar will explain what the October changes are, how these will impact agents and what new solutions they have available to them to ensure robust Right to Rent checks.

From next month agents responsible for tenancy applications and repeat Right to Rent checks will need to revisit their processes in readiness either for a return to manual face-to-face checks or to sign up to a PropTech firm registered by the government as a digital identity service provider or IDSP.

The webinar is on September 13  and agents can sign up here.
