A Martin & Co franchise holder has made their first acquisition after 14 years.

Mike Ellis and Becky Troisi have snapped up the lettings book of New Forest independent agency BrightWater.

Troisi says: “BrightWater approached us as they are based in Ringwood, but part of their portfolio was in our area. They know us and how we work, so they know the properties we’ve acquired are in safe hands.

“We’ve not quite doubled in size, but it is a sizeable number of properties, so we’ve also recruited a new member of the team to help with the management of our new-look portfolio. It was a no-brainer to look to progress with BrightWater as we’re always looking to expand and we knew them, so it was a straightforward process.

“We’d love to expand further with more portfolio acquisitions if the market allows it.”

Martin & Co managing director Eric Walker adds: “BrightWater is a perfect fit for Martin & Co and this deal is another in a long line of acquisitions completed this year.  It was particularly gratifying as I used to live and work in the New Forest, and specifically in New Milton

“I am sure our new landlords will welcome Becky and Mike’s professional service at a time where the regulatory landscape is changing so quickly.”
