ARLA President lifts the lid on Propertymark and careers for agents

ARLA Propertymark President Maxine Fothergill has lifted the lid on what is required of a letting agent holding that position in the industry’s largest trade body.

In an interview with Letting Agent Today, she explains how she got the role and what’s involved - this involves meeting agents around the country, chairing the ARLA board and feeding into the main Propertymark board meetings. 

“It’s not just a case of going to hotels and chatting to people” she explains.

Fothergill - managing director and founder of Amax Estates in Kent, which she has run for over 19 years - also talks about Propertymark Qualifications and her push for letting agent apprenticeships.
