Letting Agent Today has been approached by researchers at the University of York and University of Bristol doing a study on tenant referencing services. It’s important for them to have the views of landlords and their agent representatives.

They have sent this message, looking for possible survey participants.

“Digital tools such as online tenant referencing are intensely promoted as a valuable aid for landlords, but less is known about their usage in practice.

“The project Code Encounters: Algorithmic Risk Profiling in Housing, undertaken at the University of York and funded by the Nuffield Foundation, aims to fill this gap by exploring landlords’ views and experiences with online tenant referencing. In this sense, we invite you to complete this short survey to better understand the uptake of online tenant referencing by landlords in England.

“Your participation in this survey is entirely voluntary, and all of your responses are anonymous. None of the responses will be connected to identifying information.

“The survey will take about five to 10 minutes to complete. To take the survey please click on this SURVEY LINK.

“We will publicise during 2023 the findings of our study among landlord outlets so you will know what comes of your help.

“If you have any questions about this survey or difficulty in accessing the site or completing the survey, please contact Alexandra Ciocanel at [email protected].

“Thank you in advance for providing this important feedback.”
