Changes to Right to Rent checks will be explained in detail in the latest free webinar to be organised by Propertymark for members and non-members.
Timothy Douglas, head of policy and campaigns for Propertymark, will be joined by Gillian Brown, policy manager at the Home Office, for the webinar at 11.30am on Wednesday October 19.
They will help letting agents understand the role of identity service providers and the new digital process for overseas nationals and EU citizens without settled or pre-settled status that was introduced on October 1.
Douglas says: “The combination of the end of Covid adjusted checks, the expiry of the Brexit transition period, and the Home Office digitisation process have led to significant changes to the Right to Rent process. Our guest from the Home Office will go through the new processes in more detail and answer any questions agents may have to help them fully understand what is required of them and the different ways that checks can be carried out.”
