A franchisee group in The Property Franchise Group stable has acquired a nearby independent’s lettings book.

The owners of Ellis & Co’s Greenford branch have snapped up over 70 properties from the portfolio of West London agency Windmill Residential.

Deepak Mehta, Ravi Khetani and Cristina Siladi run the Ellis & Co operation and Mehta says: “It’s been quite a journey since 2003 and this acquisition is extremely pleasing after a sustained period of organic growth for both the Greenford and Wembley offices. Since opening the Greenford branch in 2015, we’ve been non-stop and the driving forces for the success we’ve had are really Ravi and Cristina.”

The Windmill Residential acquisition takes the combined portfolio across their two offices to more than 750 properties.

Ellis & Co’s overall managing director Rob Smith adds: “Deepak and his team continue to take their business forward at pace and I’m certain even more great things lie ahead for them. Acquisitions remain a key strategy for us at Ellis & Co and we have the mechanisms to complete deals quickly, so I’d encourage any independents thinking of selling their portfolios to get in touch with us.”
