As the Rishi Sunak government’s lower ranks finally take shape, the junior ministers working with Housing Secretary Michael Gove have been named.
These are all junior ministers at the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities:
Lucy Frazer was previously Minister of State at the Department earlier this autumn and before that was Financial Secretary to the Treasury for a year. Her new responsibilities under Gove have not yet been announced.
Dehenna Davison will chiefly look after local growth funding and devolution and county infrastructure deals.
Lee Rowley – originally appointed by Liz Truss in September- is considered the main housing minister looking after supply, home ownership and investment zones.
Baroness Scott of Bybrook will look after integration, communities and faith.
Andrew Stephenson, who shared responsibility for housing with Lee Rowley, is appointed as a government whip after just over a month at DLUHC. His colleague Paul Scully has moved to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
