Habitans Lettings – just two years old – has purchased the long-standing Heywoods agency in Newcastle Under Lyme.

Established in 1881, Heywoods is described by its new owner as “deeply ingrained in the local community with a fantastic reputation for customer perception, quality service, reliability, and trustworthiness.”

Alistair Trippett, managing director of Habitans, says: “The opportunity to purchase the 140-year-old Newcastle Under Lyme brand presented itself and, hand on heart, this was the business I passionately wanted to buy. Heywoods has such a rich history and is deeply ingrained in the community. Their fantastic reputation is something I want to be associated with, and the acquisition opportunity came along at exactly the right moment for us. It’s a dream deal for us”

He says the merger allows Habitans to bring ”all its cutting-edge, business know-how” to the Heywoods brand.

Letting Agent Today returns on Tuesday January 3 2023, and wishes all readers and their families a successful New Year and a well-deserved break!
