Savills has promoted Sophie Candlin, a negotiator in its south west London Teddington office, to become its head of lettings.

She takes on the role from her predecessor Rory Wallace who will continue to oversee the lettings business in the region. Wallace will also facilitate the role of head of lettings in the firm’s Richmond office.

Having worked for Savills since 2016, Candlin steps into her new position with some eight years’ experience in the industry.

In April this year, she played a key role in establishing Savills newest residential sales and lettings office in Teddington, the tenth in South West London.

Candlin says: “Having been involved in the opening of the Teddington office back in April, I am delighted to be taking on the role of head of lettings and continue to drive the business forward. Rory has been a fantastic mentor and has been a huge support to me over the course of my career at Savills. I’m excited to embark on a new challenge and for this next chapter in my career.”

Wallace himself adds: “We are delighted to see Sophie take the next step in her career and take on the role of head of lettings in Teddington. Having played such a fundamental role in the launch of the office, I am confident that she will continue grow and develop the business here.

“Sophie operated in the area before we opened the Teddington office and so she has an intricate knowledge of the market here, showing her to be a trusted advisor. I’m confident that under her leadership the Teddington lettings division will go from strength to strength.”
