Agency goes green with property management and car initiatives

A north of England agency is going green as it replaces its existing car fleet electric vehicles.

The purchase of two Volkswagen ID-3s is part of agency Walton Robinson’s carbon neutral plan to increase energy.

Operations director Mark Smith, who also owns an electric vehicle, says: “The cars are perfect for urban driving when we’re transporting customers to and from viewings, as we can literally charge them up and go.

“The ethos behind the vehicles is purely to reduce our carbon footprint and be as green as we can be as a business.”

Walton Robinson says it’s dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint, through the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures.

The firm has installed smart thermostats in almost 100 of its managed properties to help tenants manage energy consumption and save money.

Over the coming years the firm will be working with tenants and landlords to ensure that the properties within their portfolio have an EPC rating of D or higher.

Walton Robinson specialises in residential lettings for students, professionals and families in and around the Newcastle area offering let only, full property management and facilities management services.
