Hundreds of new rental flats planned for London sites

Build To Rent operator Avanton has pledged to build hundreds of new homes in two London hotspots under its A:Living brand.

They are at Old Kent Road and Wembley and will provide a combined total of 800 BTR units, with amenities including concierge, gymnasium and work-from-home business centre.

At Old Kent Road in Southwark there will be a £730m 700 unit scheme; and in Wembley a £250m 100 unit scheme complete with boxing gym, café and landscaped gardens.

David Ronson, Sales and Marketing Director of Avanton says: “We are delighted by the success of the [pilot scheme] A:Living Build to Rent units at Coda.

“The success of this pilot scheme demonstrates the significant demand for the premium product and lifestyle offering at Coda, and the launch of our first Build to Rent units which offer a new type of high quality tenure option for Londoners.

“A:Living provides exceptional homes with stylish interiors curated by highly regarded designers. Build to Rent homes provide a solution to help with the capital’s housing shortage, and these multiple tenure schemes offer tenants a sought-after lifestyle at competitive prices.”

Last year Avanton announced a three year expansion into BTR, seeking land and strategic opportunities to deliver purpose-built stock.
