PropTech appeal to agents to go digital to improve

A PropTech business just acquired by Iamproperty is warning agents to take advantage of what it calls the digital revolution.

Openview - Powered by VTUK says tech can play a key role in streamlining tasks and cutting admin time on labour-intensive work.

This was borne out by the public’s growing faith in the use of tech thanks to the pandemic.

Adam Rackham, operations director at Openview, says: “What Covid-19 has taught us is that new ways of interaction and communication should be welcomed by agents from the start, as you never know what lies ahead.

“Agents who welcomed quick and remote communication in day-to-day practices through customer relationship management (CRM) systems and software found adapting during the pandemic far easier.

“Those who accept and learn to make use of what changes digitalisation has to offer have an advantage over those who would rather do things the old way because they are reticent to change.”

And he believes agents who adapt can benefit as the technology supports the expansion and growth of companies.

“Contactless payments, born out of the digital revolution, are appealing because they save time. Online shopping, made possible through digital transformations such as bank cards and the internet, is popular because it saves time and effort.

“These examples demonstrate how transforming complex tasks into simpler ones is valued by society at large. The same goes for agents.

“New PropTech offers efficient solutions and improved customer experiences. Like regular tasks born out of the digital revolution that are now a way of life, agents can also turn complex tasks into simpler ones that save a lot of time.

“The property industry can be made less tiresome and time-consuming if agents simplified the process. With automation and a software system tailored to each company’s needs, agents can streamline tasks such as viewings and appraisals, to ensure these never slip between the cracks.”
