PropTech innovation gives agents property utility info within 60 seconds

A new PropTech platform allows letting agents free access to the information required to set up a tenancy and register renters for council tax, water, gas and electricity.

Founded by Jamie Parks, the platform - called Muuvo - says its combination of latest technology and access to a range of datasets will speed up and simplify the process of identifying existing suppliers and registering new tenants.

Using Muuvo an agent can, in less than a minute, enter a property’s details and immediately have access to information on council tax, water, gas and electricity providers, including meter details, as well as the now-popular Unique Property Reference Number.

This can be undertaken at the point of listing a property or on an agents existing database of properties. Once found, tenants are invited to use the service and register their interest and are also given opportunities to review suppliers and add products and services such as broadband and TV.

Agents not only benefit from the improved productivity this creates but also by sharing in revenues generated by a tenant switching or taking new products and services, not only at the outset of a tenancy, but on any subsequent renewal.

Parks - who has 20-plus years of experience in the energy sector working with energy suppliers, utility companies, letting and estate agents - says: ”Agency users are benefitting significantly from streamlining important but time-consuming administration tasks, delivering improved service to tenants and securing additional passive revenues. The Muuvo platform is free to agency users and tenants and feedback from agents and tenants confirms our belief that this is a genuine opportunity to improve the moving process.”
