Get Involved Now! Big industry debate on Rental White Paper

Today’s proposed changes to the private rental sector are the most radical for a generation.

The first industry debate on this hot issue is taking place this afternoon at 2.30pm and Letting Agent Today readers are invited to come along.

The event is organised by Agent Rainmaker and will debate the big talking points in the government’s White Paper - the banning of section 21 eviction powers, the concept of ‘no end date’ on tenancies, pets in lets, and renters allowed to surrender their tenancies at will.

There’s more in the White Paper - a proposed doubling of the notice for rent increases, redress systems for tenants, and a new portal to help with disputes.

Live from 2.30pm today - Sally Lawson and Kate Gregory from Agent Rainmaker, Daryl Mcintosh from Propertymark, and Neil Cobbold from PayProp.

Meanwhile, here's the perfect background reading - all the details we know so far of what's in the White Paper.
