Agency makes five rapid acquisitions and aims for more

Portsmouth-based agency Pink Street has completed its fifth acquisition in two years in its bid to create the largest letting agency in Hampshire.

The agency has snapped up Whites in Fareham, Taylor Garnier in Wickham, Tenant Finders in Southsea, YesCanDo in Havant, and Principal Properties in Waterlooville.

Pink Street owner Tom Soane says: “I’m not reinventing the wheel. My plan is to provide a solution for every part of our customer’s life in property and help them become anonymous landlords. From investing to landlording, from finance to refurbishments, sourcing to building a portfolio. The more we help our customers, the more valuable we are and the less they need to look elsewhere”.

“I can be generous when making offers to buy a letting agent, I’m not greedy, I don’t haggle the life out of a deal. Everyone involved must be comfortable and happy with any deal. I want the owners to know their customers are going to be looked after so I try to keep everything the same while we merge them into Pink Street. Slow and steady wins the race.”

Soane says he’s open to joint ventures with letting agency owners that are considering an exit from the industry.

He has been in the sector for a decade and works with Agent Rainmaker, achieving ‘Ambassador’ and ‘Coach’ status and winning ‘Agent Rainmaker of the Year’ award in 2021.
