Huge agency with 30,000 landlord clients snaps up another chain

Dexters, the London-focussed agency, has snapped up a four-branch chain operating in the capital.

Dexters already has 30,000 landlords on its books across its 70 branches and offers lettings from £1,250 per week to £30,000 per week.

Now it has acquired Conran Estates, a four office agency in the south east of the capital - under tis new ownership, however, the branches will remain branded as Conran.

The purchase - for an undisclosed sum - follows other acquisitions in recent years including lettings management firm Howsy and agencies Roy Brooks, Douglas Martin, Peter James and Sebastian Roche.

Dexters group claims it will create up to 200 new “opportunities” - what Dexters calls possible membership of its Pimlico-based training academy. 

Oliver Powell, director of Conran, says: “The Dexters brand is respected and trusted by both Londoners and international customers and clients, and matches perfectly the independent thinking and principles we hold so dear at Conran.

"We are excited to be part of Dexters’ ongoing success, with the group’s office expansion and enhanced digital activities creating a strong foundation for further increases in revenue and future expansion.”
