Online lettings training course launched for property managers

An online property training service has launched a specialist property management course, which it claims goes “beyond legislation.”

The Certificate in Lettings Advice and Practice aims to train property managers on compliance, sales skills and customer service, which meets the requirements of the Ofqual-regulated CeLAP qualification. It takes between eight and nine months and is run by The Able Agent.

The trainer says the new qualification works for an agency using its platform for existing tuition.

Director Charlotte Jeffrey-Campbell says: “At a time when large numbers of the workforce are moving between sectors having well-trained staff that are flexible and able to fulfil roles across the board has to be positive for the agent and the agency.

“This module has been designed to support property managers operating at all levels. Maximising opportunities in all areas of the business, raising fees and winning more instructions is the key to business growth, and we’re delighted to include this training for this new qualification as part of The Able Agent subscription.”

In a statement publicising the new qualification, Mark Towell - lead learning and development coach at Andrews Property Group - is quoted as saying: “This training fits well with the overall training plan for the team at Andrews. Specifically addressing the knowledge and skills needed in a property management role is a great addition, and another qualification is hugely valuable to us and our agents.”
