Midlands-based agency Sheldon Bosley Knight has snapped up an independent firm.

It’s Coventry sales and lettings agency Robin Jones which brings just over 170 let only and managed properties to SBK’s rental portfolio, alongside a sales operation.

SBK will retain the six-strong Robin Jones team, and brings the total number of offices to 16 across four counties.

SBK director and co-owner Mike Cleary says: “Robin Jones is a well-established, successful, family-run business and we are delighted they chose us to take over the reins.

“We share the same values and ethos so it’s an excellent fit for SBK and under Simon’s stewardship, I am confident we will continue to provide an excellent level of service for vendors, buyers, tenants and landlords in the city.

“These acquisitions mark the start of a busy few months for us, in this our 180th year. Our plan is to grow the business further and this includes another exciting acquisition in Coventry to be announced in the next few weeks.”

The veteran Robin Jones’ managing director Max Jones says: “I established Robin Jones over 47 years ago and we have been widely recognised as one of Coventry’s leading estate agents.

“In the last 12 months we have experienced a period of growth gaining a larger market share across the region.

“When I met Mike Cleary and we discussed the plans he has for Sheldon Bosley Knight, I was very impressed and decided there was only one company I would be handing the reigns over to.”

SBK, which celebrates its 180th birthday this year, now boasts 16 offices and over 100 in-house staff across Coventry and Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire, Worcestershire and the Cotswolds.
