Chestertons, one of London’s oldest and largest estate agencies, has snapped the letting and management business of Henry & James, described as “a boutique business based in Knightsbridge.”

Operating from its office on Motcomb Street in Knightsbridge, Henry & James has specialised in high end properties across Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Chelsea since it was established in 1950. Its lettings and management team will now join Chestertons’ team in its nearby Knightsbridge office on Lowndes Street.

This acquisition comes after Chestertons’ relatively recent purchases of several other lettings businesses including Morgan Randall, London Residential and Snell & Snell.

Richard Davies, chief operating officer of Chestertons, comments: “Chestertons has been operating in Central London for over 200 years and we are delighted to have found a lettings and property management business which shares our values on client service and appreciates the importance of local knowledge.

“Their clients will continue to receive outstanding service from the same team but enjoy the additional benefits of Chestertons, including our Corporate and Short Lets departments and our specialist compliance advice.”
