Propertymark wants letting agents to join its leadership team and ambassadorial positions.

The trade body says it is seeking new directors for its board as well as Vice Presidents for its lettings and sales divisions.

The successful Vice Presidents will enter the Presidential Teams in July this year, moving into the President Elect position in 2024 and becoming President of their respective divisions in 2025, their third and final year of term.

A statement from the body says: “The Presidential Team works closely with Propertymark HQ to communicate the views of members they meet and the challenges they are facing.

“The Propertymark Board is predominantly made up of practitioners, their primary responsibility is to agree the strategic direction of the organisation and set the priorities and objectives.”

Successful member-elected directors will serve an initial four-year term on the Board.

The professional body will also be recruiting a new Non-Executive Chair as Nicky Heathcote, Director and Chair of the Propertymark Board will be standing down in the Summer, having sat on the Board for the last five years.

“She has driven through the introduction of a new Business Strategy that puts members at the heart of everything Propertymark does, the implementation of a new Corporate Governance Framework and regulatory regime, the modernisation of Propertymark’s qualifications offering and establishing an in-house PR and Campaigns Team” says the statement.

And Nathan Emerson, Propertymark chief executive, comments: “The voice of working practitioners is vital at all levels of Propertymark from regional executives to the Presidential Teams to the strategic Board of Directors and we invite anyone who has a passion for driving our industry forward to apply to join us.

“I would like to thank Nicky for all her support throughout our time on the Board. She will be a sad loss to the organisation and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with her. What we have achieved over the last few years has been truly remarkable.”

A prospectus to support members in understanding the requirements for the role of Board Director and Vice President before applying is available on the Propertymark website.

Applications for Board Directors and Vice Presidents can be made here.
