Propertymark has revealed its latest top table of elected and unelected spokespeople forming its new leadership team.

The new chair of the board – taking over from popular conveyancing industry figure Nicky Heathcote – is to be Bill Butler, whose career to date has centred on regulatory bodies overseeing gambling, healthcare, public auditing, and both the legal and security sectors.

He says: “It is a privilege to Chair this pivotal industry body, especially at such a crucial time for the housing market. I look forward to working with members, the Board and the entire team as we look to further develop Propertymark and its offerings for members.”

The trade body board has also seen the election of Allison Thompson from the Leaders Romans Group to represent letting agents, and Stephen McCarron from Northern Ireland’s Donnybrook agency to represent the sales side. Thompson is a regular contributor to Landlord Today’s weekend features section, offering agent advice to landlords.

The new ARLA Propertymark president is to be Greg Tsuman from London agency Martyn Gerrard, while the new NAEA sales-side president is to be Michael Holden who has his own agency in Accrington.

Megan Eighteen of hybrid agency Location, Location was announced as elected Vice President for ARLA Propertymark and Mary Louise-Press from Northern Ireland firm Alexander Reid & Frazer was elected for NAEA.

“With a cost-of-living crisis affecting many homeowners and renters across the country, alongside the Renters’ Reform Bill which is the biggest legislation to be introduced to the lettings sector in decades, it is a pivotal and important time for the industry” says Propertymark chief executive Nathan Emerson.
