A new franchisee has been confirmed for Martin & Co’s branches in Caterham and Redhill & Reigate.

A portfolio landlord who lives in Reigate, Alan Lai acquired the branches from former owners Marc Hansen, Nick Guy and Lucie Allan in a resale deal last month.

As part of the deal, Laing retained teams in both Surrey offices, including Allan, who is staying on as Business Development Director.

Laing says “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of Martin & Co and The Property Franchise Group.

“My vision for the offices revolves around providing incredible value for our clients, and ensuring that the businesses are run with complete integrity and transparency.

“The Caterham and Redhill teams are vastly experienced and have built a superb reputation for excellence in those areas.

“I can now add my own vast local knowledge, and property and finance experience to that mix, so it’s a hugely exciting time for our Caterham and Redhill offices.”

Martin & Co Managing Director Eric Walker adds: “Alan is taking on a highly-regarded brace of offices thanks to the brilliant work of Marc, Nick and Lucie over many years.

“With his own incredible experience in property and finance and his knowledge of the local area, Alan is perfectly placed to lead his teams in Redhill and Caterham towards further growth and success.”
