TV property guru and Move iQ founder Phil Spencer to be a keynote speakers at Propertymark One this year, the trade body’s premier event this summer.

The event, to be held in association with Rightmove, takes place on June 14 at the ExCeL Centre in London.

The title of his only keynote speech will be “Embracing Change – Navigating our new property landscape”.

Here’s a synopsis of his contribution: “The property world is changing rapidly as a result of demographics, technology, affordability and legislation. The industry could wait and let it happen and then react, always one step behind what’s happening: or it could grasp those changes as a major opportunity to refresh how we do things for the better, giving agents a competitive edge along the way.”

As part of a major initiative to enlarge consumer understanding of Propertymark, the trade group has already entered a partnership with Move iQ.

This is the property advice service founded by Spencer in June 2022. Since then, Move iQ has been educating consumers on the advantages of using a qualified and regulated agent.

Spencer himself says: “I’m delighted to be joining everyone at Propertymark One and having the opportunity to share with you what I’m seeing across the UK in local housing markets while filming for Location Location Location.

“It’s going to be a great day. My team and I at Move iQ are committed to raising the profile of endorsing qualified and regulated agents. This is set to be a great day to celebrate this and drive the message home.”

Hosted by Smooth Radio presenter Jenni Falconer, Propertymark One’s other keynote  speakers include inspirational figure Katie Piper OBE, former ITV News correspondent Daisy McAndrew, plus economists and legal experts to provide insight into the future of the property industry.

The audience will consist of 1,500 property professionals from across lettings, inventory, sales, commercial, and auctioneering.

Jason Lee, Head of Commercial at Propertymark, says: “Propertymark is truly honoured to have TV personality Phil Spencer as one of our keynote speakers at Propertymark One this year. Phil does a lot of amazing work with us to promote the importance of using qualified agents and to raise Propertymark’s profile in the housing industry.

“With so many inspirational speakers and exhibitors attending this year’s event, it is worth attending Propertymark One to have an experience and an opportunity you will never forget.”
