New Propertymark Qualifications target ambitious agents

Todays other news

The Propertymark Qualifications Level 3 (Level 6 SCQF) Certificate in Property Agency has been launched to enable and support learners who wish to gain qualifications specific to and across more than one nation and specialism.

From now on, the new structure will allow all agents to take the same initial exam which is generic for the industry but add on an additional pathway depending on the nation and specialism they are looking to become qualified in. They can then add on additional pathways to become qualified in more than one specialism, rather than retaking an entirely new qualification.

The change comes as a review of the offerings of Propertymark Qualifications was undertaken to ensure that they are kept up to date and continue to meet the needs of the sector.

Gary Elliott, head of education at Propertymark, comments: It’s important for those agents who work across disciplines to have access to easier learning routes to skill up across the board. That’s why we have and will continue to review the offerings of Propertymark Qualifications to ensure that they are kept up to date and meet the needs of the sector so that agents can thrive into today’s professional climate and also get the best possible value for money.”

Agents who have registered for the previous sales, lettings or commercial qualifications with Propertymark Qualifications and have not yet sat any exams, can be transferred onto the new Level 3 (Level 6 SCQF) Certificate in Property Agency qualification without charge.
