Revealed – the new President of ARLA Propertymark

Todays other news

Angharad Trueman, the group lettings director of Andrews Group, is the new President of ARLA Propertymark.

She says her role as President ARLA Propertymark is to be an ambassador for the organisation, meeting with members and other key stakeholders to talk about the benefits of being a member and raising standards in the lettings industry.

Trueman – known as Harry, rather than Angharad – says: “It’s an exciting opportunity to influence and drive positive change, advocating for high standards and ethical practices within the lettings industry. ARLA Propertymark has long been a beacon of professionalism, setting rigorous standards that ensure landlords and tenants receive the most compliant and best service.

“As President of the organisation, I aim to continue this legacy, promoting initiatives that enhance transparency, accountability, and trust in the property market. By working closely with industry stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and policymakers, I hope to address key challenges and drive reforms that benefit both professionals and consumers.

“At the heart of ARLA Propertymark is its vibrant and diverse community of property professionals. One of the aspects I most look forward to in my presidency is the opportunity to engage with this community on a deeper level and spend a great deal of time listening to the feedback and concerns of letting agent members across the country.”

Trueman has been with Andrews Property Group since May 2023.

She was managing director of a large independent agency in Gloucestershire for five years and has a decade and a half of experience in the UK rental market managing tens of thousands of properties across the UK.

Regularly featured on local radio, she has won local and national press coverage, and was shortlisted as one of the ‘most inspirational business women in the South West’ 2019 list.
